PrEP Clinic in Phuket

PrEP, pre-exposure prophylaxis, is daily medication that reduces the risk of HIV from sex by around 99 percent when taken correctly. We start new patients and continue existing prescriptions, with the required testing done on site.

What’s Included

  • Confidential consultation on whether PrEP suits you
  • Baseline HIV test and kidney function check before starting
  • Same-visit PrEP prescription and supply
  • Quarterly HIV testing and renewal while you stay on PrEP
  • Continuation for travellers already on PrEP who need supply in Thailand

When to See a Doctor

PrEP is for HIV-negative people whose situation carries a real ongoing risk: multiple or new partners, a partner living with HIV, or inconsistent condom use. It requires a negative HIV test before starting and a quick kidney check, then a repeat test roughly every three months, all of which we run in the clinic.

If you are already on PrEP at home and ran short while travelling, bring your medication or a photo of it and we can assess and continue you without breaking the routine. PrEP protects against HIV only, so periodic full STD screening remains part of sensible practice, and we bundle the two conveniently.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before PrEP protects me?

For most people, near-full protection is reached within about 7 days of daily dosing, and consistency after that is what maintains it.

Can I get PrEP the same day?

Yes, provided your baseline HIV test is negative. Testing, consultation and the prescription happen in one visit.
