When to See a Doctor
Stitches are usually removed after 5–7 days on the face, 7–10 days on the body, and 10–14 days on legs, feet or over joints — but timing depends on the wound, not just the calendar. Our doctor checks healing before removing anything.
If a stitched wound becomes red, swollen, painful or leaks fluid before removal day, come in immediately — do not wait for the scheduled date.

Does removal hurt?
No — you feel a small tug at most. It takes a few minutes.
My stitches were done in another country. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Bring any notes you were given; if you have none, the doctor will assess the wound directly.
